The Cocopah Museum, and the Cultural Center opened on Oct. 25, 1996. The total 1.5 acres comprises the Cocopah Museum, the Cultural Center and the Heritage Park.

The Museum contains historical tribal exhibits displaying family structures, aspects of tribal members’ home lives, traditional tribal clothing, musical instruments, warrior and veteran displays, traditional objects, beadwork and tattoo displays. The Museum also maintains a non-circulating archive filled with Cocopah artifacts and information. Special guided tours are available by appointment only.

The Heritage Park features many native plants and trees used by the Cocopah people.

Museum office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Exhibit and Gift Shop hours are Monday through Friday,
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

(Exhibit closes at noon on the last Friday of each month.)

There is no admission, but donations are accepted.

Gift Shop items include: tribal beadwork, arts and crafts, tribal dolls, Native American cassette tapes and CDs, beadwork and jewelry supplies, coffee mugs, t-shirts and novelty items.

Turn North/right on Avenue G one mile past the City of Somerton
Turn West/left on County 15th (approximately 2 miles)
Follow signs to the Cocopah Tribal Headquarters
