COCOPAH EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
The Cocopah Education Department was established to address the educational concerns of the Cocopah Indian Tribe by providing information, assistance and funding opportunities to students. The Education Department provides financial aid and assistance to students from kindergarten through 12th grade as well as to students pursuing higher education, including associate, bachelor's and master's degrees. The department also provides tutoring and counseling services for Cocopah students.
The Cocopah Education Department has developed reference guides to better serve Cocopah students. In these handbooks, students can learn more about the Education Department programs and services. The K-12 Student Handbook is designed to assist grade school students, while the Higher Education Student Handbook is for Cocopah members pursuing a degree beyond high school.
The Education Department, located on the Cocopah West Reservation, is open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The department is closed during all holidays observed by the Cocopah Tribal Council. For more information, call (928) 627-4973 or (928) 627-4979.
