Summary
This is a part-time, grant-funded position (20 hours per week). Under the guidance of the EPO Director, the Air Quality Technician will work to develop capacity for a tribal air quality program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research local air quality issues and write a tribal air quality assessment
- Review and learn the Clean Air Act (CAA), including the major goals, programs, and requirements of the CAA
- Communicate with EPA regional personnel on air quality issues and training opportunities
- Respond to community concerns and inquiries on air quality
- Document work plan progress with photos and written narratives.
- Submit monthly report to EPO Director.
- Organize and maintain data files.
- Attend in-person and virtual trainings for skill development.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have working knowledge of computers and programs (Windows, Microsoft Office programs, Zoom)
- Strong written and verbal communication is essential
- Desire to understand the Cocopah environment
- Willing to work both in the office and in the field under all weather conditions.
- Ability to help develop written reports, assessments, and documents
Qualifications
- Testing may be required.
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass DPS/FBI Fingerprint background check.
- Must be COVID-19 vaccinated or must obtain upon the completion of the first 120-days training period.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s degree in environmental science or related physical science is preferred. Completion of trade school, professional or technical certification, specialized training.
- 6-months specialized work experience, 2-years work experience in related field or 2-years general experience.

Summary
Entry level position. Assists in repairing and maintaining machinery equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems of facility by performing the following duties.

- Bends & cuts conduit wire, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceiling for electrical connections.

- Patches or replaces plaster board and paint walls, ceiling, and trim of building.

Summary

- Assists in developing and implementing public education materials and workshop sessions in the area of health promotion and chronic disease prevention.
- Conducts and/or coordinates education sessions one-on-one and in group settings to those with chronic diseases and their families, in areas such as nutrition, physical activity, medications, foot care, etc.
- Makes home visits to educate, monitor various conditions, take vital signs, deliver medication, explain their directions and provide assistance as needed.
- Refers patients to outside resources, services or higher levels of care.

- Transports members to non-emergency medical appointments.

Summary
Under the general supervision and direction of the THMP Director. This position will work closely with the Tribal Administrator, Assistant Tribal Administrator & LAUNCH Advisory Board. This position is housed within the THMP Department. This position will be responsible for providing direct outreach to the pilot community leaders and advocates. The Community Coordinator will provide cultural expertise to the program and will be trained to provide Positive Indian Parenting classes. Note; Project LAUNCH is a five (5) year grant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with and engage various tribal leaders and elders to organize, develop and lead cultural community activities.
- Perform community-based outreach by attending community meetings and events, conferences and one-on-one meetings to educate the public about Project LAUNCH and its programs.
- Plan and conduct various presentations and trainings for the community related to Project LAUNCH activities.
- Assist and promote workforce development and public education campaigns.
- Work closely with all Project LAUNCH staff to coordinate and integrate services.
- Assist in developing cultural adaptations/infusion into program and services.
- Work to infuse Cocopah culture into and provides Positive Indian Parenting Classes.
- Work closely with the Cocopah Cultural Department, engage various tribal leaders and elders in infrastructure development, and assist in development and coordination of community strengthening activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises CHRs’ and coordinates CHRs’ activities.
- Oversees development of comprehensive CHR Community Health plans related to such services as: Diabetes education, health promotion disease prevention, referral and follow-up.
- Provides program and technical assistance to CHR staff. Conducts case management, coordinates patient transportation, and serves as a resource in providing in-service education and department training.

- Assists and promotes workforce development and public education campaigns.

Summary

Will conduct monthly group meetings for all parents participating in the program, which provides an opportunity for families to meet and share issues and ideas concerning parenting in their community.
Will identify in-home caregivers of young children (birth to age 5) in the regional area to establish an understanding of the program and provide support and assistance.
Responsible for creating carefully planned, developmentally appropriate programs specific to each caregiver, in an effort to provide information and referrals to community agencies that could respond to the caregiver’s and children’s needs.
Responsible for enrolling Tribal pregnant women in the program and refer them to prenatal care services.
Coordinates and responsible of maintaining biweekly home visits with families enrolled in the program.
Promotes breast feeding and primary health care for children.
Assists Tribal members and their families to access other applicable Tribal community and public services, including employment services, continuing educational institutions and governmental agencies, to provide program and referral services.
Organizes monthly group connections, health & education activities.

- Educational advising of Middle School students as needed. Advisor will work with each students school counselor to determine individualized educational plans. Communicate with students and parents to encourage the educational plan towards promotion to High School.
- Must be able to identify the early signs of a learning disability in students. The Advisor must work with the school and parents to facilitate the process of testing for disabilities.
- Coordinates the JOM Johnson O’Malley Summer program with the assistance of the Education Department staff members.
- Monitor the progress of students by visiting the campus where the students are attending classes. Advisors will visit students under the cooperation with the schools and their prospective school counselors.
- Monitors grades and attendance. Advisor will collect semester transcripts and yearly transcripts to determine academic progress of each student towards promotion to High School. Advisor will collect progress reports during the school year to determine academic progress of each student. Students will be contacted in academic progress is not made and be inducted into the tutoring program.
- Attendance reports will be collected weekly. Student with truancy issues will be monitored on a daily basis. Any students who are habitually truant will be referred to the Truant Officer.
- Maintains contact with parents and informs them of their student’s progress and identifies problem areas. Advisor will meet parents and students to determine an educational academic plan for success towards promotion to High School. This plan may include tutoring and supplemental programs.
- Works with school officials to develop individual educational plans to assist the students in correcting problems that may impair or hinder their educational progress. This may include informing students and parents of possible learning disabilities or social hindrances that affect the student.
- Prepares and submits reports to the Education Coordinator.

Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overseeing of the golf, pro-shop, and restaurant activities, is responsible to maintain and supervise personnel, monitor profit/expense reports, and be accountable for the day to day operations of the enterprise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains the golf course in a playable condition by overseeing the operations and employees.
- Ensures that the restaurant is running effectively and efficiently.

The HR Generalist is responsible for assisting with daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driver will be responsible for safely transporting clients to Fort Yuma Indian Health Clinic for follow-up, laboratory test appointments and/or to other local health facilities (i.e. wound care, cardiovascular visit) in a timely manner.
- Driver wills pick-up supplies, prescriptions and assists in other miscellaneous duties as required or needed.
- Driver will be responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance and cleaning as needed.
- Driver will keep the maintenance/mileage records for all THMP vehicles.
- Submit weekly/monthly activity report to Program Director

Summary
The Native Connections TSN PD will be a full-time position, at 40 hours per week, housed within the Tribal Health
Management Department that will have fiscal and operational oversight of the grant. The TSN PD should possess knowledge and expertise in public and mental health, and possess a solid understanding of the cultural and traditional values of the Cocopah community. Personal qualities include the ability to lead, foster relationships, and understand complex nature of policy development, implementation, and cross system coordination and collaboration integration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- NCPD will lead all Network activities within the funded grant and provide guidance, information, and support to all project aspects.
- Will directly oversee all staff under the program and lead the Network to identify ways to work collaboratively across the Cocopah services system, to support grant activities, to sustain successful aspects of the community program at the end of the grant period, and to use lessons from the target community experience to influence policy, funding, and programmatic decisions related to the suicide and substance abuse prevention for youth ages 9 to 24.
- Provide/Coordinate training for community in Youth Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.
- Fiscal and administrative oversight of the grant; ensure compliance with all grant requirements.
- Recruit and engage participants in the Tribal Suicide Network.
- With the Network, support the development and implementation of comprehensive protocols for suicide prevention and postvention.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to coordinate across service systems and facilitate policy reforms and infrastructure improvements and document lessons and successes from the local community to influence policy, funding, and programmatic decisions.
- Submit reports and other materials to SAMHSA to meet required evaluation and reporting criteria of the grant.
- Hire staff, travel to all grantee meetings, and coordinate youth MHF-A training, and become a certified trainer in ASIST.
- Provide training to the community in all protocols, screening, referral processes and coordinate ASIST training to community/schools/primary care/law enforcement
- Screen youth for suicide, depression, and substance use, and make appropriate referrals.

- Maintain adequate amounts of all denominations of coins, tokens, and currency to meet Casino needs.
- Separate and eliminate (via bank deposit) old, worn out, torn, or defaced bills.
- Prepare daily bank deposit reconciliations for use by accounting.
- Prepare daily Bingo and Slot bank deposits.
- Sort daily documents (including checks, jackpots, etc.) and prepare tape totals for each category.
- Will perform other position requirements as assigned by the Vault Lead, Cage Manager, or Floor Manager.
- Must understand and comply with departmental internal control regulations.
- Casino operation is 24/7, must be able to work any and all shifts.

- Must have 1 year of cash handling experience.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Prefer proficiency in the use of a 10 key calculator, currency counters, and coin wrapping machines.
