Cocopah Supports Yuma Community Food Bank

News Releases

Cocopah Council Member Wynnie Ortega presents a check to Yuma Community Food Bank President and CEO Shara Whitehead at the Yuma County Board of Supervisors meeting on May 6.

Each year, as part of the Arizona Gaming Compact, the tribe contributes a percentage of its casino profits to local governments for programs and organizations that benefit the public.

This year the Cocopah Indian Tribe contributed $13,723.50 to Yuma County, which in turn selected to distribute the money to the Yuma Community Food Bank.
