Habitat for Humanity hosted an appreciation dinner for the many people, businesses and organizations that have helped Habitat throughout its 18 years

Habitat for Humanity hosted an appreciation dinner for the many people, businesses and organizations that have helped Habitat throughout its 18 years.

Tuesday night the Cocopah Indian Tribe along with about 60 others received a big thank you along with a plaque and certificate of appreciation for their contributions to

Habitat for Humanity of Yuma.

Last October, Cocopah Council member Carlos Pereyra visited the Habitat for Humanity Restore Yuma location. Executive Director Frank Carrillo gave Pereyra a tour of the facility and talked about the services Habitat offers. Afterwards, Pereyra handed over a check to Carrillo in the amount of $3,900 to be used for advertising. The commercials advertising Habitat that are currently airing were paid for by these funds.
