As it stands, the Cocopah Indian Tribe, the Gila River Indian Community, and ITCA are the only entities thus far to have federally recognized tribal training officers.
“We wish her the best of luck in the state competition,” said Honorable Chairwoman Sherry Cordova.
Shelyne Twist’s participation marks the first time a reigning Miss Cocopah has fulfilled this role.
“9/11 is a serious reminder of what our commitment should be to the people we serve,”said Fire Chief Paul de Anda.
