A disaster can strike at any time, any location with little or no notice. These disasters or emergencies create a significant impact on life safety, cause property damage, and economic hardship to individuals and the community. The Office of Emergency Management in response to a disaster will take action to mobilize and utilize resources to save and protect lives, property and resources. This will be accomplished with the support and assistance from Cocopah Tribal departments.
The Cocopah Indian Tribe Emergency Management mission is to support the Cocopah Tribal community and entities to reduce loss of life and property and to protect the environment through collaboration and to build, sustain, and improve our capabilities to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards by providing and coordinating resources, expertise, leadership, and advocacy through a comprehensive, risk-based emergency preparedness program.
