The Cocopah Indian Tribe donated money to Somerton students to help them take an end of year trip to Sea World.

On Tuesday, May 14th, Cocopah Indian Tribe Councilman Carlos Pereyra presented a check of $2,000 to Tierra del Sol Elementary School teachers. Mr. Villafana and Ms. Casanova happily accepted the check during a school board meeting.

April 12, 2013-- The Tierra Del Sol Middle School, Sun Dragon Band and Honor Choir traveled to Disneyland in California to compete against middle school bands and choirs from several different states including Nevada, California, Arizona, and New Mexico.  The band and choir both received a first place trophy in the Single A Middle School Division with a rating of Superior.
